Amina Benkirane (Communications Coordinator)
What qualifies you to work at mononews?
I don’t give up easily and I have surprisingly good investigative skills. I also like meeting people and writing.
What made you decide to take the job?
I love challenges so I jumped on the opportunity! It’s really amazing to work on this project; it feels like caring for a baby.
What was the hardest lesson you have learned (in business/in life)?
Sometimes, life is just not fair.
How do you define success?
Being able to share what you have with people you love.
What is your favourite saying?
Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore. (is that a saying?)
What is the most fun you have had on the job?
Everything on the creative side! (Writing, working with images, creating Social Media sites, etc.)
What characteristic of mononews do you feel most closely matches one of your own characteristics?
In my head, mononews is a rebel (wearing cute outfits and shoes!) that wants to change the rules!
Would you consider yourself more of a “carrot” or a “stick” type personality?
Carrot…at least, I think!
What’s the one thing, at the office, guaranteed to put a smile on your face?
What’s the most unusual thing you have ever done for your job?
It was a sad day and I don’t like to talk about it.
