All the best to you for the coming year and the new decade from the mononews team.

The end of the year gives us an opportunity to look back on the lessons we have learned over the past year and to incorporate these learnings into our strategy for 2011, leading to improved outcomes. Isn’t one of  the definitions of a fool as “Someone who, doing the exact same thing in the exact same circumstances, expects a different outcome”?

The end of a decade gives us a wider horizon to reflect on.  The last 3-5 years have been incredibly difficult, but have brought about tremendous change resulting in huge opportunities.  The challenge is to balance trying new things with maintaining what works, especially when the menu of tools and vehicles is getting more and more extensive and will only continue to expand.

Is it feasible to set aside, at minimum, 5% of your time and 10% of your financial resources to investigate, evaluate and try one to three new things in 2011?
